As
thin price negotiations continued, Yuan 200/mt Asian Butadiene was stable on Dec.
1. Since Nov. 18, the CFR China butadiene prices have been stable as both
buyers and sellers were on the sidelines. Spot buying was limited because
key synthetic rubber producers kept plant operations at a lower level despite
negative margins. According to market sources, the local China synthetic
rubber price was around Yuan 200/mt higher than the week before. The local
China butadiene cost fell Yuan 100/mt to Yuan 6,200/mt (or $755/mt if you use
import parity). Sources also stated that rising pandemics in China would
cause a reduction in factory operations, which would impact demand for
