Asian benzene prices rose $16-21/mt on the
day to $898-920/mt FOB Korea, Sept. 20. Physical discussions for FOB Korean intensified in the
afternoon trading session. Bids were last heard at $899-920/mt to load the second half of October. A trade deal was concluded at $897-920/mt to load
November before the Market closes. For
October arrivals, the buying signal from China was firm with bids at October
WMOPK plus 37%/mt and an offer at plus $45-50/mt. The demand for November arrivals fell, with bids being heard
at November WMOPK plus $37-42/mt and $25-30/mt. The styrene monomer cost was $21-26/mt higher than the day's
