The European linear-low density,
low-density polyethylene trade was limited over the week ended July 13, as
buyers remained cautious ahead of the upcoming summer holidays and a bearish
macroeconomic background. Some buyers remained on the sidelines
due to inflationary pressures. Convertors reported hearing that they were
closing production lines or prolonging summer breaks. A trader
stated that this customer of LLDPE had stopped some lines in July because their
order entries were lower. They said they would reevaluate their orders at the
end of July and decide what they should do. There was a
wide range of pricing for LLDPE grades. C4 grades were heard trading as low
