Asian isomer-grade mixed xylenes rose $16-21/mt
on the day to $1,022-1,050/mt FOB Korea. They were up $17-23/mt @ $1,018-1,050/mt
CRU Unv1 and up $1-2/mt At $1,013-1,050/mt CRU China Sept. 13. This was due to
rising upstream and downstream markets prices. The ICE November Brent
crude oil futures rose 2.35/b to $95.17-100.50/b by 0830 GMT Asian trading.
Petrochemicals feedstock naphtha rose 15.50/mt to $669.25-690.50/mt CIF Japan. Paraxylene rose $38-43/mt to $1,137.33-1,160.50/mt
CFRUnv1/China. The spread between MX and PX, which is based on the FOB Korea MX
price, increased from $22-27/mt daily to $115.33-130.25/mt. The wide spread between PX and MX is unlikely to lead to
end-users raising run rates unless the spread remains at this level for a
