- The price gap between buy and sell ideas remains- DCE futures decrease Yuan 21-Yuan41/mt





Due to weak demand, Asian monoethylene
glycol imports fell on Nov. 7, day on day. On the Dalian Commodity Exchange, the January
2023 MEG futures contract fell Yuan 21/mt to settle at Yuan 3,907/mt exp-tank. The
recession caused weak polyester demand. Higher energy costs squeezed production
margins. As a result, there was a disconnect between selling and buying
indications. The prices were at their lowest level in two
years. Prices in Europe were now assessed at $605mt
CIF-ARA, down $2/mt from Nov. 4. The US prices were assessed at
19.5c/lb FOB USG. This was an increase of 1 cent/lb Nov.
