Based
on stable pricing indicators, US spot export polyvinylchloride prices were flat
for the week of May 11. The prices were set at $1,740-$1,750/mt FAS Houston. The assessment includes May volumes priced at
$1,720-1,730/mt. An additional $20/mt is added to account for higher storage
and trucking costs. The assessment does
NOT include freight, insurance, or margin costs. According to market sources, logistics issues continue to
hinder exports due to the increasing demand for truck drivers and chassis in
containerized imports. Sources indicated
that they did not expect any improvement in the situation until 2023. On May 11, domestic PVC prices were flat at 99.5-101.5c/lb. This is the highest level...
