Asian MTBE rose $20-25/mt
on April 26, at $1,115-1,125/mt FOB Singapore. MTBE prices increased in tandem with rising Brent crude oil
and gasoline prices. The crack in 92RON
gasoline grew day-on-day to 21.27, from 19.09., while the 92RON gasoline was
more expensive at $120-130/b on April 26 from $120-130/b. Aramco Singapore offered 2,000 mt cargo to load over May
26-30. The offer was pulled at the Market
on Close without any takers after it was reduced to $1,115-1,135/mt FOB
Singapore. Although Asia to US Gulf
Coast arbitrage or USGC was open, one source suggested that cargoes going to
the US from Asia may come from the Straits region (including Singapore), rather
