Alpek Polyester mulls maintenance at PET plant

Alpek Polyester is likely to take off stream its Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant in Montreal. A source in Canada informed a team member, “The company is in plans to undertake a maintenance turnaround at the plant starting October 7, 2025. The duration of the outage has not yet been determined, and confirmation from official sources is still pending.” Located in Montreal, Canada, the PET plant has a production capacity of 144,000 mt/year.
