US Gulf Coast MTBE flats prices increased
on the day to 294.57c/gal FOB USG September 12. This was due to gains in
upstream oil and gas. MTBE
premium to front month gasoline remained flat at 50.09c/gal during the Market
on Close evaluation process. Due to the
close of peak summer gasoline blending, liquidity has been very low over the
past few days. Upstream, NYMEX October
RBOB futures closed higher at 244.48c/gal for a third consecutive session. NYMEX WTI October crude futures rose slightly but still
remained below $90-95/b.
