Turkish and African markets■ Russia offers aggressive■ Currency exchange rate impact on buyersAs aggressive offers pushed prices, the
Turkish polypropylene market fell in the week ending Aug. 3.  CFR Turkey polypropylene
fiber spot price at $1,090/mt Aug. 3. This is down $80/mt from the previous
week. The Turkish market was highly
available as many sellers in Turkey had high stock levels and received multiple
offers from other countries. According to
sources, low Russian offers were causing prices to plummet to levels that
traders couldn't sell. A trader stated
that Russian offers were the most aggressive and are ruining the market. Due to the continued unfavorability of downstream players,
demand was weak in the first week of August. The
