ADNOC initiates emergency shutdown at refinery

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has carried out an emergency shutdown at its refinery in Ruwais. A source in UAE informed a team member, "The refinery has been shut since March 10, 2026, owing to a fire within the refinery complex. The duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained." Located in Ruwais, in the UAE, the refinery has a crude processing capacity of 920,000 barrels per day (bpd).
