higher in week ending Feb. 7, as tighter spot supplies and increased restocking
requirements after the Lunar New Year raised buying and selling indicators. According to reports,
domestic prices in East China have risen to Yuan 11,300-11.400/mt ex–tank, an
increase of Yuan 900-1,000/mt over the previous week. A major Northeast Asia producer said that ABS run rates have
reached 85%. "Downstream ABS demand has been increasing, that has pushed
up acrylonitrile fuel costs too." Another
producer said that the recent price rise was due to a lower run rate at
