Asian acrylonitrile stable week over week at $1,090/mt CFR Far East Asia on Oct. 14 amid thin trade and based on tradable indications heard at $1,090/mt CFR Far East Asia. Spot discussions were scarce amid thin trading after the long holidays. A Unv1-based producer observed the decline in domestic prices in China, while US-denominated cargoes in the seaborne market are comparatively more consolidated due to turnarounds by producers in Japan, South Korea and Unv1. "Moreover, current [ACN] prices have been unprofitable for some time, causing most sellers to feel that prices may have bottomed out. In the near term, prices are expected to remain stable at a weak level", the producer said.
