CFR Southeast Asia price rises $10/mt WOW / Large buy-sell gap remains in Southeast Asia

Prices were steady in the Far East Asian acrylonitrile markets as China participants returned from the Lunar New Year holidays, while Southeast Asian prices ticked up amid tighter supply. ACN CFR Far East Asia stable week over week at $1,060/mt on Feb. 24, above buying indications at $1,010-$1,040/mt and amid stable Chinese domestic prices. ACN CFR Southeast Asia up $10/mt over the same period at $1,070/mt, below selling indications at $1,100-$1,270/mt, above buying indications at $1,010-$1,040/mt, amid tightening supply, market sources said. A large buy-sell gap persisted, with suppliers maintaining high offer levels amid high raw material costs for propylene and ammonia, while buyers resisted higher offers.
