Asian ACN: Falling $10-$20/mt due to ample China supplies and weaker propylene markets / Asian ACN hits lowest since Dec 2024 / Asian ACN margin remains negative

The price of Asian acrylonitrile fell by $10 to $20/mt from the previous week on March 18, due to abundant supplies coming out of China and a weaker market for propylene feedstock. CFR Far East Asia ACN prices were $10/mt less than the previous week on March 18 at $1250/mt, the lowest price since December 17, 2024 when it was valued at $1235/mt. CFR Southeast Asia ACN was $20/mtlower than the previous week, at $1240/mt. This is the lowest price since Dec.3,2024 when it was $1230/mt. According to market sources, China's ACN price fell around Yuan 100/mt in the past week, to Yuan 8,600-8900/mt, or $1,035-$1,035/mt based on import parity.
