Celanese is planning to bring its acetic acid unit onstream. An industry source in Singapore informed a team member, “The company is expected to resume operations at the unit in early February 2026. The unit was shut around December 8, 2025, for maintenance." Located in Pulau Sakra, Singapore, the unit has a production capacity of 600,000 mt/year.
