AA : Indian acetic acids market softened during the week ending July 10, amid healthy supply. While there were several cargoes in the pipelines for H2 of July, the fundamentals were generally dull due to the tepid demands during the peak season. Ex-tank domestic prices at Kandla port fell to Rupee 33.50/kg, a drop of Rupee 0.50-1.00/kg from the previous week. Market participants reported that import parity levels were weak, at $340-345/mt. Kandla's port stock was above 20,000 mt in the week beginning July 7. CFR India discussions slowed down week on week. Offers heard ranged from $358 to 365/mt. Some end users reported receiving offers of $350/mt for cargoes ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 mt. Some bids were lower, in the $340-345/mt range. The levels, however, were considered too...
