prices fell week on week as producers were heard to be operating at poor
margins amid weak regional demand, market sources said on Aug. 3. Due to the large gap
between buying, and sell indications, spot price discussions in export markets
remained muted due to low prices. Asian
ABS was $20/mt less than the previous week, at $1480/ mt CFR China on August 3.
CFR Southeast Asia was $20/mt less on the same week, at $1530/mt. CFR China is
still at $50/mt. Southeast Asia's demand
was weak, with buyers not wanting to buy spot cargoes. Even with low inventories, the uncertain economic outlook
