CFR China NBA hits lowest since Nov 2020 / CFR China PA sinks to lowest since Jan 2022

The Asian oxo alcohol market was mostly lower from the previous week on Aug. 7, with some benchmarks dropping to multiyear lows, pressured by bearish demand amid concerns about a global economic slowdown. Asian oxo alcohol producers continued to see negative margins, which kept plant operations below 100%. Normal butanol/isobutanol: The CFR China NBA price fell $5/mt week over week to $865/mt Aug. 7, the lowest level since Nov. 12, 2020, when the price was at $870/mt CFR China. The CFR China isobutanol price fell $10/mt week over week to $780/mt Aug. 7, the lowest level since started to publish the assessment in October 2024.
