Moeve Chemicals halts production at solvents plant

Moeve Chemicals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd has taken off stream its phenol/acetone plant in Shanghai. A source in China informed a team member, “The company has shut the plant in early August 2025 for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Shanghai, China, the plant has a phenol production capacity of 350,000 mt/year and acetone production capacity of 210,000 mt/year.
