While the upside on the Russian domestic gasoline market slowed down in the week ending Aug. 8, market participants were skeptical of a potential reversal of the trend, citing sustained low availability. Meanwhile, the energy ministry said Aug. 8 that Russian refineries will restore gasoline output “in the coming days” following unplanned maintenance, and domestic supply will increase as a result of the full export ban. Repairs are ramped up, and spare capacities will be brought back online in order toincrease primary processing and output of motor fuel, the ministry said. Market sources attributed the lower gasoline output in August to drone-related outages at the Ryazan and Novokuybishev refineries.
