Petronas Chemicals defers cracker turnaround

Petronas Chemicals Olefins has postponed the turnaround of its cracker in Kerteh. A source in Malaysia informed a team member, “The company has delayed the shutdown of the cracker to 2026. The cracker was originally scheduled to be shut by Quarter 4 of 2025 for maintenance.” Located in Kerteh, Malaysia, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 600,000 mt/year and propylene production capacity of 95,000 mt/year.
