GAA ex-works North and East China down Yuan 50/mt day over day and Yuan 300/mt lower week over week at Yuan 7,100/mt on July 22. The assessed price was within a domestic east China tradable indication heard at Yuan 7,050-7,150/mt amid lackluster demand and tepid cost support. The market saw GAA prices still grappling with weak upstream cost support and poor downstream demand over the week ended July 22. Commenting on the demand side, a Northeast Asian producer said some downstream buyers are focusing on utilizing their inventory, while those who have immediate replenishment needs are buying on price dips.
