Asian Toluene: Prices relatively stable despite downstream volatility / East China’s port stocks fall 17% WOW / Singapore’s gasoline exports down 2.5% WOW / Downstream MX, PX prices jump Dec 19

Toluene $1/metric ton higher from the previous close at $635/mt FOB Korea, and the FOB China marker was up $2/mt day over day at $645/mt Dec. 19, amid volatility in downstream markets. Chinese domestic prices inched up from the previous day, as the prompt ex-tank East China price Yuan 10/mt higher at Yuan 5,140/mt on Dec. 19, equivalent to about $627.18/mt on an import-parity basis.

Toluene port inventories in East China were down 8,700 mt, or 17.16%, week over week at 42,000 mt on Dec. 18, according to a market source. Over in South China, port inventories were up 800 mt, or about 7.69%, week over week at 11,200 mt Dec. 18.
