was valued at $20/mt more this week, at $1280/mt China CFR and $1,295/mt
Southeast Asia CFR, based on stronger tradeable indicators. The stronger
tradeable indicators received led to HIPS being assessed $10/mt
higher. Local prices were generally still relatively low in the domestic
China market. Prices for GPPS in China were around Yuan 8,800/mt (and Yuan
9,700/mt respectively) on an import-parity basis. FOB China indications were
stronger at $1,250-$1,260/mt GPPS, and $1.380-$1,390/mt HIPS. One trader
in China stated that there was no market for imports right now. We are
instead looking at exports and possibly supply to the India market. It is
probable that... demand is strongest at the moment. Indian producers have
tight margins right now, so end-users and producers...
