prices. The
November ICE Brent crude oil contract closed at $90.92/b at 4:30 pm Singapore
time (0830 GMT) and was $0.26/b higher than the previous Asian close. A producer stated that several polymer plants were operating
at low rates, between 60% and 80%, due to low margins. Chinese buyers were unable to buy at higher levels due to
low inventories and the weak Yuan to a dollar. Due to supply shortages, South Asian LDPE was evaluated on
Sept. 21. A trader stated that the
