demand has caused the Asian low density polyethylene to drop by 3% in the week
ending Nov. 9. Sources said that China's COVID-19 restrictions have
impeded trade. According to one major producer, the demand situation is
worsened than 2008's market crash. They said that some converters still
used calcium carbonate to reduce resin usage. Due to the strong dollar and
low prices in local stocks, the outlook for Asian polymers was bleak. There was
also poor demand due to converters not having enough business. Producers
were looking for products that have higher margins and stability in their

manufacturing would pick up in the coming months, as Europe's plastic
