Asia: Low demand has pushed the market down across Asia.- Inflation dampens demand- ICE Brent crude oil futures are down $9.25/b todayDue to low demand and uncertain economic
outlook, Asian low-density plastic ethylene prices were lower in Asia. On July 6, the Far East
market was valued at $1,330-1,370/mt CFR Far East Asia, $20-25/mt less than
last week, and $30-35/mt higher than last week. CFR Southeast Asia was assessed $10-15/mt less on the week
at $1520-1550/mt, while South Asia was assessed at $1500-1530/mt CFR South
Asia. This was $20-25/mt less day on day and $45-50/mt more on the week. Several sources in Asia stated that the LDPE market has seen
a lackluster demand over the past few months and that demand is not likely to
