demand. The governments of the Middle East have tried to increase
domestic demand. are diversifying their plastic portfolios. However, there
has been low demand due to low population growth. Therefore, heavy exports
to Asia are expected. The Middle East surplus is expected to remain
around 13 million tonnes per year in 2023. In the meantime, Chandra Asri
of Indonesia has declared force majeure on polyethylene and propylene sales
between Nov. 1 and Dec 31 due to a breakdown in equipment at the site.Asian
