Asia: PE prices fall in SE Asia due to a sluggish market, but rise in China with higher offers / New offers for SE Asia in June stable to softer / Chinese PE Imports Up 14.4% MoM in April

Southeast Asian polyethylene prices dipped in the week ending May 21 due to a weakening demand. New Middle East offers for June shipments were made available across the week. Offers and concluded deals heard month-on-month were stable to soft. HDPE film fell $15/mt in the past week to $880/mt for CFR SE Asia based upon deals heard. LLDPE was down $10/mt over the same period at $940/mt for CFR SE Asia based upon deals heard between $940 and $950/mt. A producer said that demand is still low in Indonesia, and it's hard to estimate prices at this time.
